"Ring Ring" is the debut studio album by Swedish band Bjorn Benny & Agnetha Frida, which later became the pop group ABBA. When the first song, "People Need Love", was recorded in the spring of 1972, the group was just one of many four-member projects. It wasn't until the title track "Ring Ring" became a hit that the four decided to continue working together as a permanent band. The album was released in Scandinavia on March 26, 1973 by Polar Music. He immediately topped the charts in Belgium and had great success in the Netherlands, Norway and South Africa. The track "She's My Kind Of Girl", included in international editions, is actually a 1969 song by Bjorn & Benny. It was a hit in Japan and was later included in the English version of the single "Ring Ring" in Scandinavia. The song "Disillusion" was co-written with Agnetha Faltskog. She created the music for the composition. The album was reissued in Australia in 1975. The CD was first released in Sweden in 1988; A West German CD release followed in 1990 (later released internationally). The album has been digitally reissued three times; first in 1997, then in 2001 and in 2005.
