Divisive is the eighth studio album by American metal band Disturbed, released on November 18, 2022 via Reprise Records and Warner Records Inc. The new work, without a doubt, can be called a record of the COVID era. And this is the first LP from Disturbed in four years since the release of Evolution (2018). It all started on July 14, 2022 with the release of Hey You. The second single titled Unstoppable was released on September 24, 2022 along with the announcement of the upcoming album Divisive. The third single of the same name was presented to fans on October 28, 2022. In general, the new album of the four musicians turned out to be quite good. It surprisingly intertwined classic heavy hymns with modern, softer and more melodic compositions. It seems that Disturbed has finally found a balance in such diverse styles and decided to mix them together, rather than separate them into separate tracks. On the new, eighth album, the performers have finally succumbed to the modern musical trend of inviting famous artists. Their choice was the famous American rock singer Ann Wilson, who, in a duet with David Draiman, performed a magnificent sentimental composition. All ten songs were recorded in 2021 in Nashville in collaboration with American producer and songwriter Drew Fulk aka WZRD BLD.
