If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power is the fourth studio album by American singer, activist and songwriter Halsey (Ashley Frangipane) was released on August 27, 2021 via Capitol Records. After the neon watercolor frenzy of Manic (2020), Halsey ushers in a whole new era of art with her new work. Produced by American musician Trent Reznor and English producer Atticus Ross. If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power is a study on pregnancy and childbirth. The cover, by Luca Garrido, features Renaissance Halsey seated on a gilded throne with a baby in her lap at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. A limited edition red vinyl with an alternative cover will be available for true fans. Together with the concept album, on August 25, 2021 in the United States and on August 26, 2021 in the rest of the world in some IMAX cinemas, the film of the same name was released based on its motives. Ashley Frangipane herself was the scriptwriter and star. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the birth of a child, Halsey will not have a world tour promoting the album. Instead, fans received a global digital show of If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power on August 29 and 30, 2021.
