Mercury - Act 1 is the fifth studio album by American pop rock band Imagine Dragons, released on September 3, 2021 via Kidinakorner and Interscope Records. Ahead of the album's release, the band released two singles for the songs Follow You and Cutthroat. They became the first works of Imagine Dragons after the release of the previous album Origins (2018). On July 2, 2021, another song from the album was released - Wrecked, which was written by lead vocalists Dan Reynolds, Wayne Sermon, Ben McKee and Daniel and produced by Imagine Dragons. The mixing is done in Spatial Audio and is accompanied by a lyric video about intense and deep grief, loss and moving forward. The legendary Rick Rubin is the executive producer of Mercury - Act 1. The band plans to play next summer at festivals in Portugal's Nos Alive and Spain's Mad Cool, with musicians such as Metallica, Royal Blood, The Killers and Muse.
