In Flames I, the Mask Track List
I, the Mask is the thirteenth studio album of the Swedish melodic death metal band In Flames, presented to the public on March 1, 2019 under the label Nuclear Blast and Eleven Seven Music for North America. The album was produced by Howard Benson, who worked with My Chemical Romance and Motörhead, and also produced their previous album Battles. The album was designed by artist Blake Armstrong, who depicted on the cover a unique interpretation of the group's mascot – The Jesterhead. Each song I, The Mask will correspond to its own picture. In Flames debuted with two great tracks – I Am Above and (This Is Our) House. A video was also presented on I Am Above, in which the famous Swedish actor Martin Wallström ("Mr.Robot") appeared. Video filming takes place in a pitch black room with Martin, which conveys the emotional intensity of a metal ballad sound in awesome facial expressions. Meanwhile, in the lyric video track (This Is Our) House shows rare footage from the first annual Swedish festival group Borgholm Brinner (Borgholm Is Burning). In 2015, drummer Daniel Svensson left the band to focus on his family life. Since November 2016, American bassist Paul Bruce has joined In Flames, replacing retired bassist Peter Iwers.
