On October 6, 2017, NF Real Music / Capitol / Caroline released the third studio album “Perception” by American rapper, author and singer NF (Nathan Feuerstein). Taking the first place on the Billboard 200 chart just 10 days after the release, this work caused a sharp controversy among critics and fans of the hip hop / rap genre. The album includes 16 tracks with a total duration of about 62 minutes, in terms of lyrical content it was a continuation of the previous “Therapy Session”, released a year earlier. This was one of the reasons why the NF received accusations from some critics of excessiveness and lack of identity. But the album’s significant commercial success denied all of these allegations, and the single “Let You Down” took 12th place on the Billboard Hot 100, became multi-platinum in many countries and received over a hundred million views on YouTube alone. Already the first track is a proof of genuine, deep music. His powerful symphonic intro is replaced by the rapper's skillful vocals on the background of the piano, followed by an orchestral accompaniment and a choir that increase tension. Lyrically, it is a dramatic direct dialogue between two personalities of one person. This grandiose, voluminous Intro III sets the mood for the entire album. In the second, strong track “Outcast”, the sound of the orchestra is enhanced by the fast performance of the text against the background of a beating bass. Throughout the “Perception” – love, pain, music, fear, the complex world of a restless soul, genuine emotions. These are the main themes of the album's rather sharp lyrics, accompanied by strong beats, rich instrumental and choral accompaniment, perfect performing technique and impeccable vocals of a talented artist. A grand tour in support of the album, which included 50 concerts, began in Melbourne on January 31, 2018 and ended on May 18 in San Diego, successfully passing through the cities of Australia, Europe, Great Britain, Canada and the USA.
