Horizons is the fourth studio album by American rock band Starset, released on October 22 via Fearless Records. In September 2019, listeners were able to enjoy the sound of the third full-length release, Divisions. And after a year and a half – on April 26, 2021, the first song Infected from the new album was presented, dedicated to the two-year anniversary of the video game Arknights. On September 10, 2021, the official announcement of Horizons took place, the release date was announced and the track list was published. A video was also released for the song The Breach – dust flies into the air as a white minivan quickly leaves the city, which is a mixture of the Matrix and the neurons that surround its houses. Inside the car, father, mother and son exchange worried looks. A drone pursues them and issues a formidable warning. No, this is not the US border, but rather the end of the virtual world that this family is trying to leave. On September 23, 2021, another video clip for the single Leaving This World Behind was released. Horizons lets you cinematically experience a soundscape that takes the listener through pain, love, fall and triumph. The world is absorbed in synthetic methods of escape from reality. It is with this technology that we can explore life, using the experience of other people and, finally, the ability to be ourselves. Starset plans to tour the US in fall 2021. And in February 2022, a large-scale tour of Europe and Russia is to take place, which will end in April.
